2004 h1 hummer civilian model 6.5 optimizer. My fuel injection pump went out while I was driving. Vehicle completely shut off. We now have it back running but can get any scans from the computer 1st looking for a repair company for ecm. Now this is the tricky part the peddle will rev the motor in neutral but soon as soon a we put it in drive vehicle will not move. We’re debating on switching over to a Manual pump but looking for suggestions. I’ve had this vehicle for 2 years and only got to drive it for less than a month just wanna get back on the road. 2004 h1 hummer 6.5 optimizer
i do not know if this is your case but diesels sometimes act as you described when low on engine oil as a safety guard. i know our cummins international did exactly that when we blew an oil cooler line on the road. it would rev in neutral but no pedal input in drive.
I would literally lick the whole engine bay if that was the issue. It’s an electronic issue for sure just trying to see if anybody has dealt with a bad peddle or ecu before. The truck has been to three different shops I’m not losing hope. But if I can’t get it going I’m debating on doing a hellcat swap. I’m getting desperate at this point. Predator is year long wait
