Hey guys,
I have a 1997 ( early, pre 1997.5) H1 that I recently had to swap the the turbo diesel out. It fell victim to the dreaded cylinder casting defect. While swapping the engine, the AC was disconnected with the intention of reconnecting it later. Anyway, I am going to need to purchase a new dryer, condenser,compressor, and hoses. I am seeing quite a few AC condensers for the 02-06 H1 on Ebay. Has anyone tried to retrofit this condenser to an earlier H1. I would love for this to work as they are about 10x less expensive than the correct condenser. One of the reasons I am reaching out to you guys is not only for the great knowledge but also because during a move, the old original condenser was misplaced. Therefore I can not put my hands on it to compare measurements.
I would love to utilize the newer upgraded condenser with a cooling fan. Any and all information or opines are greatly appreciated.
