Default 1994 H1 Speedmeter

I have a 1994 H1 and the speedometer is not working. I have tested the cable from the transfer case by using a cordless drill and it works. I also pulled the module from the transfer case and everything looks clean. With the cable connected to the removed module, I turn the orange ratio gear and the speedometer does move.

I was wondering before I pull the case, is there anything I should check or do? I can take pictures if needed.

1994 6.5 non turbo

Thanks

It hasn't worked since I got it. Not sure if that is the right gear; however, should the speedometer at least move. It does not move at all now while driving.

not if the gear is not meshing. check the teeth for wear or if it even is interfacing with its mating gear and inspect that for damage as well. from what you describe then the cable and spedo are functional so need to inspect from gear interface forward

That is what I was thinking. Module pulled from case where cable connects looks good no wear there. Time to inspect gear in case with camera or pull apart.

Thanks
