Default Great write up!

Hey all, I've been reading here for a while but never posted. This is a great site with a lot of useful information. With the help of this thread I cranked my torsion bars this past friday, got an alignment today, and ordered the bilstein shocks 10 minutes ago.

Also I just recently put KO's on but kept the factory size. Sort of wishing I went with 295 or 305's now.

okay, can you measure when the H3 is and the jack with the wheel in the air? Or do I jack it up, crank the bars, then put er down and measure?

Bilstein shocks
Cogneto lists the part # as: BE5-C153-H0

other dealers such as Offroadwarehouse lists them as: F4-BE5-C153-H0

Are they the same shocks ?

Cognito price $90.00 ea. plus $32.00 shipping
Offroad price $85.00 ea. free shipping

So do you need only front shocks or front and back?

Also, everyone says from the "H" on Hub center... wouldn't the placement of that "H: be dictated by the wheel position? I'd like to see a picture of the way people do the measurement.

The H is in the middle of the hub no matter at what point of the position.
I measured mine and it was TERRIBLE. I had to do 5 turns on the passenger and 3 1/2 on the drivers side. The drivers side was harder to turn for some reasion too. I was at 22" on the pass side and 21 1/2 on the drivers side. now they are sitting at 23 1/2 on both sides and 24" on the rear but thats as far as I wanted to go without making it ride bouncy. I also did not replace shocks yet but I dont feel like it needs them... Yet. I probably will down the road cause they need to be changed out around 100k miles anyways (at least on my Mercedes, it made the world of a difference in the ride when I put new ones on).
