You Freaking GHOULS ! ! ! ! ! ! !

The poor thing has yet to be OFFICIALLY PRONOUNCED DEAD and you're already picking the carcass clean ! ! ! !

Just what kind of people do we have here on this site?

[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif]

Opportunistic bastards ! ! !

Note: It might not be a bad idea to at least recover the rock rails and cross bars for the next vehicle...
That's a grand right there that I bet wont be considered in the settlement.

A few memories from better times--[sm=boohoo.gif][sm=boohoo.gif][sm=boohoo.gif]

Yep we are a sick group. What I was getting to is what you mentioned Gunner. Chances are the Ins. Co. is not gonna give you squat for the extras, take them for the next one while you still can, or sell em to a guy that is willing to help you out.

First off, glad to see that everybody was OK. Hopefully your insurance comes through for you and sets it right. Those cross-bars and light bar look salvageable, but the rest of it looks all bent up. If you have the navi I'd rip that out too. It sucks but get what you can back out of it just in case the insurance guys scam it out of you.

Good luck, and hope everything turns out well.

Damn Dave! ! !

You were "corn-holed" by Truck # 71-- hand built-- 16,000 lbs --and barely 3 weeks old.

Inquiring minds wanted to know......(Sorry, I just had to know what the odds were of getting hit by one of those things)

Ya know.....If they do total your truck, you at least need to save one of the tow hooks off of it for a memento.

A paper weight for your desk perhaps. (Just a suggestion)

hey guys,

thanks for the condolences! yes, it pretty much sucks, but at least i have my health. hopefully, the insurance adjuster will see eye-to-eye w/ the service rep...i hate having to fight w/ them. it sounds like i'll be getting a replacement. gettinga new one will be nice, though id rather none of this had happened and keep ol' blue...especially since they discontinued the slate blue [:@].

i've already cleaned out everything i could w/out a rachet/wrench in hand (spare tire cover, roof racks). going to try to salvage the rock rails, but i'm not sure the driver side is going to be possible. as far as the lights are concerned, the dealer told me they're too hard to uninstall (?)...any truth to this?

test drove an alpha yesterday. i really liked it. the engine was a lot quieter and i did notice the better acceleration. not sure if i'll pull the trigger on that one. but, i will get the adventure pkg again . color is my #1 issue at this point...

thanks for the memories, mark. brought a tear to my eye . i also appreciate the earth roamer info. i hope we dont have thunderstorms anytime soon in DFW b/c i'll probably be struck by lightning...

on my way to buy a lotto ticket ,

lil d

Glad you are ok..... Volvo's are pretty tough too.... I can't believe that the 3 stood so tough.... but I can only think the wall helped you... all speculation in my opinion.

and congrats on your new H3 Alpha....

oh, i totally agree. volvo's are legit, but that dang h3 was a champ. instead of crashing into the cement barrier, the dang thing crawled up it. not surprising when you think about what a hummer can do [8D]...

i should be getting word on the replacement status soon from the adjuster. just keep your fingers crossed for me that i get a new one !

my thoughts on the wall was it hit you hard enough that the rear impact could have rolled you and rolled you into a side impact....
