This probably needs to be moved to the general Hummer section since it has nothing to do with an H2.

That being said - on that last article claiming the Rivian is more capable??? I'd have to argue pretty strongly that the Hummer EV is far more capable off road than the Rivian, by a very wide margin. The Hummer EV has a LOT of off road features that the Rivian does not like extract mode, 4 wheel steering (with crabwalk), better approach and departure angles, better ground clearance, tighter turning circle.
Plus is has more storage volume, better headroom, legroom, shoulder room, slightly faster, much faster charging, and longer total range.

The Rivian does have a higher towing and payload capacity though. Better built is really not a known factor since neither have really been around very long. Interior quality, never been inside either but I can believe that GM might be lacking there. I have seen multiple reviews that the Rivian, while awesome, gives you almost no information about the vehicle status on the screens and there are almost no actual controls so nearly everything has to be done on the screen which the software interface seems to have been designed 15 years ago.

true, also i have not seen 1 picture of either truck in the water or mud/going thru a river crossing, it did show it going thru a rain storm and hitting a couple of puddles..

I ask GMC representative, he said Warreny would be void if the EV, went into water higher than the lower rim of the wheel, because of the electric motors, and he said that taking a 9,000 lb vehicle in the woods and getting it stuck, would be a bad idea, just trying to retrieve it would be a nightmare!

so with that said, i think ill keep ours….

if this is true, this eH2 is a parking lot princess for virtue signaling offroad wanna-be’s.

puddles around here are deeper than the bottom side of a wheel rim. Ridiculous, and hopefully the spokesman is full of it. Hope.
