I'm with the majority on this one - Mobil 1.

 

Castrol GTX 5W30. Maybe I should switch to Mobil 1 after reading this?

 

I run Mobil Delvac Super in my turbo diesel. Dino Oil, I'm doing service every 2500-3000 miles so any synthetic in the engine is a waste IMO.

I use the Mobil 1 synthetic chassis grease for lubrication, and royal purple for everything else [gear oil in hubs, differentials, t-case, and atf for the transmission] , mostly because a few friends run Royal Purple in desert racing and logged a 10 degree temperature drop vs a non-synthetic.

That being said any good quality synthetic would do just as good as a job as RP I think.

I'll have to switch differential oil to the AM General / Cognis stuff when I put in my e-lockers in a few weeks.

 

I've switched to Mobile 1 in my '03. But these dinky oil filters suck! Really thinking about remote filter kit and run a large sized filter, or dual small ones.

 

I just recently purchased an 05' H2 and was wondering how many quarts the engine takes? I guess I'll go with Mobil 1 since pretty much everyone in here probably knows more about hummers than I do Thanks

 

We run Mobil 1 Extended Performance Fully Synthetic "Guaranteed for 15,000 miles" and we change the oil around 10,000 miles. Never had a problem and we have some h2's nearing 200,000 miles that are 25 passenger limos and are hauling much more weight everyday than normal hummers.

 

Mobile 1. Use it in my Harleys, Hummer, Jeep, and pushmower.

 

I'm runn-n royal purple, buti might switch 2 mobil-1, or still lookn.. Still debate-n

I use Mobile 1 Full Synthetic in my Corvette and my fiancé's V6 Mustang.
