Default Aluminum roof cross bar cleaning

Any recommendations on how to restore the roof cross bar. I used the mother's aluminum and mag cleaner also used the quick glo cleaner but there is still a stain on them. I want to get the original smooth look they had…

Here is your definitive answer:

Use hydrofluoric acid to remove stains from aluminum. That is go-to product for bare aluminum.
But these days it is hard to find. Look for the ingredient on wheel cleaners. This is the acid they used to use on non-coated mags (aluminum wheels).
It is harsh, and people don't know how to work it, so they have been phasing it out.
Forget any with other surfactants, they do not work well. Start diluted, work up to full strength if required.

Easy peasy.

Default Powder coat

Tried for a couple days cleaning and polishing. Never tried clean and clear coat. Had them powder coated black in a finish to match front grill guard.
worked great for me. $200, they striped, prepped, and coated

The H2 has aluminum crossbars. They do not rust, nor need to be painted, unless someone wants to change the color.
Surfactants will not restore stained aluminum.
