Was just watching Mecum Auto auction on TV and this one just sold for $180k. Didn’t know the range on these are 555 miles, obviously less if you are hauling and launching it lol. I thought these trucks went for about 120k, is it because it’s an early version? With fees I’m sure that one went over 200k. I’m not gonna lie, these trucks look very sharp and they are huge and spacious. I’d like to have one of these toys. Need to ask Santa.

 

 

Yes they are going for way over MSRP on the secondary market right now simply due to the very limited availability. TFL Truck experienced a bug on theirs on the second day that shut it down in traffic but it could be reset by disconnecting and reconnecting the 12v battery in the front trunk. But - they had no idea how to manually open the front trunk so sat there for a long while waiting on a tow truck and whatnot. Then they limped it to a dealer and it was fixed very quickly. That is the only real issue that I've seen myself and they otherwise love it other than it is highly impractical since the spare tire (which is optional) takes up half the bed.

They are incredibly capable off road as well but the width and weight do work against them. Realistically probably few who spend the money to get one will ever really take it off road though which is sad in a way.

 

I still can not believe they missed me. I was jumping and screaming wanting to bid. I grabbed the the BJ employee and told him I was trying to bid. He looked me right in the eye and said that is not in Rubles it is US $. Boy I set down so fast.

All joking aside that was wonderful to see, 2.5million $ for such a great cause and I believe if the engineers are correct on trucks specs the Hummer EV will be a huge success. It is a cool looking vehicle and just image all that torque and power both on and off road in our H2s. Wow.

I really do wish I could have been in that bidding war to donate that kind of money to such deserving individuals!

 

Hummer EV is amazing, Didn't someone on here order one? T2T is a great charity and it's great that folks have the means to support such a great cause. My other takeaway from that video is why are they wearing masks? Ridiculous!

i was behind one of these entering the turnpike here in Fl. He left me in the dust, literally took off so fast it was gone within 10 seconds and lost sight of it lol

 

they should have replaced the battery terminals with stingers...... don't they know that by now..... LOL.

 

I tried to buy one when they were 1st made available online. The reservations were gone within seconds. I've asked my dealer to get me one and they laughed.

I read somewhere it takes four days to fully charge using a basic charger.

I still like it.
