What size bolts?

What size bolts?
2006 H3- what size bolts go in the factory aluminum splash guard that has H3 on it ? There are 2 bolt holes at the top and then it looks like 2 bolts with maybe washer heads on the bottom? I just bought the guard and was going to mount it but need to purchase the bolts.

I know the heads are 13mm but am unsure of the length and thread type. All 4 have fender washers which seem attached to the bolt so you can't lose them. The 2 closest to the front bumper hold the splash pan. The other 2 for the rear of the splash pan not only hold the splash pan but also the front portion of the skid plate. Any GM dealer should have them and I don't anticipate them being too expensive. Might be easier than going to a hardware store.

ahh,,go yo the store,,,
buy 2 bolts
if they dont fit
go back in
trade in for 2 more
keep doing this till
OH BTW,,BE SURE THEY TURN EASY SO IF WRONG YOU DONT DAMAGE THE FRAME THREADS
you find
the right size
best of luck
they cost 68 cents at lowes

Dr Tom...great advice...if you are wanting to ruin your threads in the frame!

Just in case....
Just in case anyone else is not wanting to screw up the threads in their frame, the bolt size is 13mm, 2 inches long , standard threads. They all have a welded 3/4 inch wide washer . GM Part number 11519603 old number, new number is 11589407.

my limited xperience with metric,,
a 13 mm head, hex, could cover a lot of thread sizes and thread pitches.
pitch is either 1mm or 1.5 and im ready for advice
i use the check and compare method for crazy metric stuff
i am speaking metric better than last yr tho,,
lets see, where is my decoder ring,,

Pitch
The pitch on a standard thread 13 mm metric bolt 1.9538

pitch,mm
at the store where that part time teenager works, the bolt section shows metric pitch as 1 or 1.5
u can see the diff side by side , fine or course
a 13 mm metric would be 1/2 inch appx , they go by thread size as we do. which im sure is NOT what u need
ez way is:
go to the store, buy 2 bolts, try them, fingers only! so u dont mess the threads.
if they dont fit,try more till they go in without binding, and that means about at least 1/2 inch.
a 3/8 inch will go in loose in a 10 mm 1.5 pitch hole,,but its wrong!! this is just an example. we spent a couple weeks getting the 10 mm thing straight a while back
when all fails let the min wage part time teenager get it right for you, they know their nuts
for the plates u could just pull one of the clips,we call tinnerman nuts, take it into the store and tell that kid with the pimples u want something to screw into the hole those teenagers who run most stores are smarter than most people who stumble in,,,

The pitch on a standard 13 mm metric bolt is 1.9538 . This rounds off to 2 just in case you need to brush up . If you notice on your chart it shows the pitch of a 14mm as 2. Your chart doesnt even show 13 mm. I put this imfo on here for someone who doesnt want to guess at the thread size. I think this site is meant to put usefull imformation on, not to fuss and put stupid elementary comments. I got better things to do than argue with you.

just the facts, no arguements
do you really think the bolts in question are 13 mm?!! ahh, half inch to mount the sheild!
btw i didnt creat the chart,,found it on the net.
must be a reason for no 13mm ??
oh, the chart says "standard metric sizes: so no 13mm. ill check with that kid at ace hdwe.
also says head size may vary,,,now where did i see that b4?
