Default Light Bars, Gobi and Arb

Alright guys.. Finally going to throw some lights on her. She just hit 151k miles, so she deserves something

Here is what I am looking at.

Arb bumper: 20' Rough County Led Light Bar (I am wanting a multi light (amber.)?)

Gobi Rack: 42" to 50"? (unsure on the size and brand?)

Also, any one figure out how to mount the light bar to the gobi rack it self?

Looking at getting the 2 factory switches for this set up also.

The only pictures i have right now is when she was getting under coating and the bumper sprayed.

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm pretty sure the 50" Gobi is for the H2.

After an little more research, it looks like I am going to do a 40" up top on the Gobi Stealth rack.

E Series Mounts should work for mounting hardware.

Now for the switches. Will those factory switches work with a dual stage light? I don't think they will.

So, you want some change? My .02 worth. Light bars are not for me.

Gobi racks.... way, WAY, overpriced and the quality at the prices they charge should be absolutely killer, but sadly they are just cheap white metal with so so welds.

If I were to need a rack, I would go with what many have done, go with the Rola.

I already have the rack doc. I was just needing insight on how it would mount to the rack (in the front) and if the factory switches would work also. Seems like 40" bar will work. I need extra lights for nights that I'm coming off the mountain in a blizzard.

No biggie.. Ill go to the another form.

MeBe,

Nice rig. What year is it? Also.. where's your radio antenna? haha

I went with the Plus 1 series lightbar so I cannot help much.. your Gobi rack blocks the space needed for that one.

You are going to be disappointed with your plan then. Lots of light up high will throw lots of glare back off the hood and off the falling snow. You would be better off sticking a bar in the lower grill opening or hanging it from the top bar of a grill guard. Yes, there are a few people that have wired lights into the factory wiring harness and switches.

Have fun on the other 4 or 5 Hummer forums, we'll see you there too. Ask H3Ray, almost everyone is on the other forums too.

It is an 2006, with 152,000 on her. I don't run an antenna. lol Got tired of it smacking everything.

Yea I was worried about the glare from the top led bar. Also going to try to mount a 20" on the Arb bumper.

The switches I was referencing are the factory AUX light bar switches that you can get off eBay. Will they do dual stage? I don't think they will..

40" Dual Food/Spot up top and 20" Dual Food/Spot on the Bumper.

Thanks for the response!!! Felt like the other ones where a little negative about this post.

Also, the E mount bracket should fit the Stealth rack at the size of 1.25..
