Light Bar H3
#14
I just bought a osram 50" curved LED bar, and the G2 like brackets. going to install in 2 weeks. im just debating since I dont have a rivet gun, to put stainless self tappers in. anyone have advice on installing these so they stay secure and dont fly away in the wind, or create a water leak where I drill.

if he doesnt respond, i am installing the exact same on my h3 alpha in 2 weeks. I can take pics of where I am mounting etc. I will be drilling and using metal 1/4" 1" long flat sheetmetal screws to secure mine on each side. then dab silicone on them just to make sure water dont get in which i doubt it would anyways but better safe than sorry.
as for mounting I think im going to drill through the plastic then the metal to my roof and again silicone the crap out of both. then silicone more when I put the plastic trim back on. then route wiring down the A pillar to a relay and a switch ill put next to the rear wiper blade control below the radio. I am buying a 2 way rotary switch so I can blend it in with the rest of the switches. it will look off if you stare at it, but otherwise will go unnoticed.
Least that is the plan..
