I'm looking for a nice replacement keyless entry FOB for my 05 H2, anything better than the stock GM one that it came with? Also keen to add remote start at this time, are the newer OEM keyless entry FOBS with remote start feature back compatible with the H2 if I purchase some module for the truck? Anyone done remote start on their H2 for 03-07, OEM or not? Would like to get something nice. Thanks!

Basic remote start...If you can't make up your mind, pick out what keyfob you like best. You really can't go wrong.

Some of the higher end models will turn on your heated seats for you went its below a set temp in teh truck.

I just pulled my remote start system out of my vehicle, it also had a RF module added to it to identify Driver 1/ Driver 2. The system has caused my vehicle to start late at night and shutdown, resulting in a dead battery in the morning. Now I have pulled it, I am dealing with the doors locking by themselves. I am sure there is some faulty wiring somewhere. Over the past 20 years, I have always had a remote start, now I am thinking that sometimes it is best to just leave things stock.

 

you need to yank the battery and reset the computer or your body control module is taking a ****. All the signaling is data.
