Default have freon but a/c blows heat

My h2 2004, has freon and when a/c is turned on to cold 60deg even if the weathers cool it blows heat as if I have the heater on, and I can feel that the a/c is on just a little but the heat over powers it..any ideas.

It is most likely the temperture control unit display thing. It is alowing both to run at the same time. This happended to several chevy trucks and tahoes my friends own. I think its a common problem. my buddy had it replaced and all was well. Have it checked first.

A/C been running OK this summer with temps in the high 90's and a few days over 100. However last summer the A/C did blow nothing but hot air one time on a very hot day.. I removed the fuses in the under hood fuse panel that control the A/C, heater, blower, etc....don't remeber exactly which ones right now....but put them back in about a half hour later and the A/C has been good ever since. Removing the fuses probably reset the circuits....removing the neg battery cable might do the same thing, but you might loose some other settings(radio, clock, etc) but it's worth a try

All sounds good, I think i'll try 'olfart' advise 1st ...and just an UPDATE: the a/c heater control unit went blank today as in not even working and now as soon as I start driving its as if the settings on high heat and fresh air, which means as i drive its blowing heat and I have to twist all the vents shut, can you imagine driving in Florida heat no a/c and your car blows heat ...crazy uh, but this too will be solved..stay tuned.

I was wrong in my earlier post. It is the blend actuators for tempature. They are a common problem on gm trucks. Mine on the passenger side sticks sometimes and blows hot also. If I unhook the battery for 30 mins and then put it back on it will work fine, if I dont try to adjust the passenger side temp ****. It will stay on 71 degrees then until I decide to replace mine. Thats what the dealer said to me anyways.

I had the same problem one night I was on a date! haha The ac was on chilling me off and my girlfriend on the passenger side was getting hot air blown on her! hahaha I am not going to get that fixed!

Anyways I turned the unit off.....let it sit for a second then turned it back on. It solved the problem and it has never given me trouble since.
