H2 battery light ?

Default H2 battery light ?

Hi folks i have a 2004 h2 just done 40k i went to start it today and had a few problems...... here goes a slight clicking noise & lights go dim on the dash thats with ing on but engine not running (all things work fine)

problem 2 i noticed the battery light was on but very faint,after 1hrs driving it went off its allways shows its charging
the light is very faint

Check for a loose battery cable. If those are OK most likely you have a bad battery or Alternator.

Replaced the alternator(with new one) checked all main wires had the battery tested & had the codes read on ecu & all ok ?? but the light is still on very faint even with no keys in ............. "help its bugging me"

If the Battery light is on with the key out I would bet the Igntion Switch is bad. My 03 had that same problem. Ign switch was not expensive. I am talking about the electrical portion not the lock cylinder.

Yeah, it sounds like both problems you listed are actually related. I would look at the ignition switch first and foremost. Did you take it to dealer?

Sounds to me that the wires have to much resistance. If not then the alternator is going bad. Check for corrosion and loose wires.

I have got to say the light is on but very dim & some times goes off
have you a part number for the ign bit ? or a pic ? cheers

I have had a look today & found the ignition starter pack now to find one in the uk ! & quick help...............
