The air conditioner on my vehicle blows hard for a second then blows soft for a second and does this constantly. It sometimes does it when in auto mode and all the time when in manual mode. Sounds like the blower stays the same just surges out of the vents. I don't know where to start trying to troubleshoot this problem and any suggestions will be appreciated.

Is the air changing where it blows to?
This happened on my Vette.
I thought something was stuck in there. Turned out the relay to switch where the air blows to was bad, and it kept changing from blowing on my face to my feet to the windshield.

Also, you might want to look at the fan
I know you say it sounds like it is running the same, but it may not be
It is possible the fan has a bad blade or two.
