Default Transfer case shifting help

Ok I picked up a 2003. When you go from 4 to 4lock or 4low it just blinks then goes back to 4. I replaced the switch, motor and transfer case control module. Yes I am putting it in neutral before trying to shift. I’ve gone forward and back and still nothing. I’m guessing with all major components swapped out that it’s something wiring related or even some safety features that are stopping the shift. Anyone have ideas?

does the transfercase have enough oil? or maybe the shift fork inside the transfercase that connects to the selector motor is wore out

If you remove the motor you can turn the shifter with a pair of pliers. It’s definitely electrical

Welcome.

MOVED. Miles on your truck are important when asking any tech question.

Might read first before posting, because you originally posted in the HF Help & Suggestion Center where the first Thread stuck at the tp says: Do NOT post vehicle questions in this section

Turning the shaft with pliers is one thing, whether that turning of the shaft actually shifted anything in the T Case is a different answer. Once you turned the shaft, did you verify the T Case went into lock or low?

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

trying to shift these by turning the shaft is hard. I might try and see if the motor moves when you remove it from the case first. If it does I bet you have something broken or hung up in the case.
