Default Locked keys in truck and hood is open

Does anyone know if there is a tech 2 interface in the engine compartment so I could attach to the BCM and unlock the doors? It's my understanding that some how, there is a way to unlock the doors through the trailer wiring harness as well. Anyone know anything about this?

I was able to get in my truck. However, it would still be interesting to know if the ODBII port is the only interface for the Tech 2. My Tech 2 came with a lot of different plug adapters. I would assume they would plug in to other parts of the truck. It would be interesting to know where.

Not that I am aware of although it would be simple to add one. The other connectors are for different vehicles. I'm sure there are already all the wires needed under the hood, would just need to locate them. Unless yours is a 2008/2009 there is no CAN bus lines needed, literally just constant 12V positive/negative and J1850 (class 2 data). Later models will also need a couple of more pins for the CAN bus data. That is actually not a bad idea to maybe add a connector that is accessible as you mention. I'd even maybe look at getting the other end of one of those "other" connectors in the Tech2 kit just to make it less obvious to others what it is. I'd probably go with a round one so that I could easily find a rubber cap to keep it protected when not in use. Also keep in mind, if your main hood latch is working than someone still could not get to it easily without pulling the hood release inside.

Actually I just thought of one spot for sure that has a data line as well as power wires. You could add one by the rear air compressor (if yours has that). Attached is the OBD (DLC) port pinout for 2003-2007 models. Standard DLC connectors are easily available on eBay, Amazon, etc.
