The new raspberry Pi3 is capable of acting as a wireless hotspot i believe, and also has BT built in, so will use roomie remote / simple control iOS app or the KODI ios APP to connect to it. As soon as the iphone / ipad is in the car it will connect to the wifi and should be ready to go. Well that's the theory anyway. I've got a decent amp'd USB connector to go in the cigarette lighter inside the center console, will run HDMI into there too, and with a 64GB USB stick loaded with backed up media (*cough*), we should be good to go!

 

Also the firm that's going to be doing the install want to make a feature of it, with professional photography and possibly a video (no doubt in russian), whether it materialises or not I don't know, but they're on instagram as pro_service. I'll include all build pics i can get out of them.

I'll be watching this closely.
Depending on the cost to convert to a diesel, I'll be looking at some interior mods, like sound deadending & possibly seat covers. A new sound system would be nice too, lol.

They're a good bunch over here despite what politics/media will say. I've lived here since 2010. They've been very welcoming and accomodating to me. I believe in karma, if you go around being a dick, then sooner or later you're going to meet up with other dicks

They're progressing on with the install as we speak. I have added another thread here about sound deadening. I have some pictures in there already of the vehicle stripped out. I'll probably create one big thread though when am done with it all. So you can all follow...
