Default Skids rear springs shackle

Several months ago I asked about posting the availability of skids I had made. I wanted input from people about the design. I never got a reply from a moderator. The classifieds says no commercial posts. They also say a lot of other things not to do but......I payed for these to be made with my own money. Thereare many posts onother forums some of you may have followed. I waitedto put this on until I gotthem. Should have them tomorrow. I felt it was not fair for the people Ihave shared discussions with on here not to get a shot at them. You can read aboutthem on the other two sitesso as not to repost all that here. I can't justify paying a fee on this forum if I don't on the others. The whole idea was to make them affordable and functional. The response on the others was that people are glad to have a chance to get them. I did check before posting on those and was encouraged if it was something to help others. Other people are selling hard to find items as well. I did not want to upset any rules on here and still feel you guys should be able to share in this if you want them. Compared to some of the other things I have seen posted I figure this is rather minor. If I don't get negative replies after all this time I will be glad to discuss this either here oron the H3 part of this forum. I have heard from other people that check all the forums. I would hope everyone enjoys the good part of all of the forumsas I do.

I was not whinning I was groveling and trying to be humble and trying to brace my self for being a violater of all things forumy.
Ok? Thanks
Here is what they look like. I will try to keep this short. I will post a picture soon of the two front pieces. $150 for a set of four pieces including shipping and supplies to do that.
These are 1 inch wider than some that cost $235 for just the two rear pieces, to protect the shock bolt and the mounting flanges are indexed in a slot and welded top and bottom. They are laser cut for a smooth edge and precision fit. Unfinished. Ready for a rattle can of your color.

Hello Hunner,I am new to this site, so I hope there is no trouble in this question. I would like to purchase the skids you make. Can the skids be made in at least 1/4 inch stock? They look a little weak for my style of wheeling. thanks, Hummer1

Nope, to tool up to make one set like that would be price prohibitive for most people. You could just have someone make you a set from scratch.I had to order a lot to even have them consider this. I feel like the ones I have tested by sliding over rocks and dropping down on them or rolling a rock underneath the plate have held up really well. These are 3/16. The way they are made strengthens them against the spring plate. They would not be allowed to bend much because they will push against a largearea of the spring plate. If they were made of 1/4 I believe there would be a problem with the radius and it would require longer u bolts which will also reduce clearance by about another half inch.If you are running in rougher terrain than I have tested them in you should have a lot of damage by now without any. Im really wanting to see some great photos. You shoulddesign a heavy duty version. Just prepromise-sell 30 sets forkover the cash upfront and you will probably find someone interested with the production equipment to make them affordable. The cad design and engineering for the heaver metal will take some time and writing a program for the laser will require some knowledge. Dies for the presses and jigs for the welders has to be set up as well, but doable. I went thru all that after I made a set and realized to mass produce them would be the only way to make them priced so people could actually justify buying them.

This firstshot someone posted, is what will happen, or could happen.
