I have replaced the rear lift gate actuator 2 times in the last 30 days but they stop working after a week . Any ideals why I can't keep it working ?

 

Check the circuit for too much power, check your grounds, chassis grounds, etc. There has to be something wrong with the electrical side of it.

 

Is it getting wet? I know that my rear marker lights ( the three on the gate)were leaking. The water would pool right on the interior plastic ledge above the actuator. Water could be leaking on the actuator and shorting it out.

 

Did you buy the whole assembly for the gate or were you able to find a part # just for the actuator? Trying to save some money since the whole assembly is $400+
