Wrapped my wifes H3 today :)

My wife got a H3 Alpha for Christmas and I wrapped it today, original color is Graphite Metallic and I decided to wrap it matte graphite metallic with matte black roof and matte black in the cents back of the hood.

Decided to wrap it to protect from gravel and crap we have on the streets over here in the wintertime. Last H3 she had I just put clear vinyl on selected areas and the paint on the doors got totally ruined so now I wrapped the whole thing.
Now I have some bushwhackers laying around that I need to install before I get the big tire for it this spring :)

Thanks, i like the graphite, if it was mine I would have gone with camo or nato green but the wife probably wouldn't be too happy driving the kids arround in it :)

Nice. I really like the matte look too. Great job.

Just curious on how much did that cost and how long did it take them to wrap it?

I have a vehicle wrap company in Sweden specialized in high end cars, boats, airplains and other specialty jobs.
I don't know the pricing on something like this in the states but over here we charge $2500-3000 usd. The job takes abpot two days, I did it in about 13 hours with some help from a collegue.

This one looks reallly good ithe sunlight since it is matte and metallic, otherwise the mate greys have a tendancy to look like primer

So what would be the main advantages/disadvantages of doing a wrap instead of custom paint job?
I know paint jobs like this could cost between 2500-3K USD, so just wondering because I never though of wrapping the vehicle..but now... :)
Thanks!

Looks nice! I thought I was the only one wrapping my Hummer on here. What material did you use? I work for MACtac and I know we make that color.
Here is mine wrapped a couple times.

How close can you get to matching the factory colors? I was searching the other day
online for some sheets to match my birch white. I want to cover the rear side windows
like in your pics

Most of our clients want to change the color into a diffrent ona than they have, if you do that by paint it will cost a lot to have it propperly done, 2nd it is very hard to sell a custom colored car sinca a lot of people assume it has been in an accident prior to re-paintong it. This way you can also change color as often as you wish as long as the wallet allows it :)
Some people do it to brand new cars because the wait for the color they want is too long. This is a great way to personize your vehicle without making it permanent and it will keep the re-sale value better.

I work mostly with orafol (oracal) and the vinyl i used came from them but it is a special order som not in their regular color charts.

Yours looks nice, that is the green i was thinking about using but like i said think the wife would complain a little :)
We did a hummer h2 in that green, looked really cool I'll see if I can find the pictures to post them here.

The whites are almost impossible to match unless you do a special order but then you will need to order a large quantity so it will not be worth it.
For windows i would go with the printing vinyl with holes in it without printing it just using it white.
That way you can see out but not into the car and if the color isn't exact match it still looks good and people will not react to it the same way as with a solid.

Thanks. Ill look into that, it would be nice to be able to see out

H3FT, I love that last wrap! I had a ZX7 a little while back that I painted up like that, I always thought that style looked great.

Also very cool! It seems that the color change wraps are just gaining poularity over here. I know that the EU market has been doing it for a while, but after seeing all the wraps at SEMA this year it is a growing trend.
