Default Is it worth paying the extra $$$ for the Alpha package?

My current '06 H3 has the I-5 engine. I plan on keeping my H3 and buying an H3T soon. For those who have owned both engines, is it worth the extra cash for the bigger V-8? Right now, I have a deal lined up for a new victory red H3T base I-5 with chrome appearance package (wheels, mirrors, door handles), trailer tow package, auto. trans., and moonroof for $28,779 out the door. There is a used H3T Alpha Leather solar flare with 11K miles, DVD Navi, chrome package, and moonroof that I plan on looking at that they are asking $32,900 for. I would offer something less if I like it. I think bottom line is it will still cost more than the new H3T I-5 base. Just how much more, I'm not sure. So I'd like to hear thoughts on the V-8 as well as the I-5.

go with V8 and the extra HP Alpha package and make sure it has the back up camera you won't believe how much you will rely on it. I got everything but nav and love it.

I've got an 06 I-5 also and bought an Alpha about 3 months ago. Until today I would say stick with an I-5 ....... but now that they replaced a faulty ignition coil the V8 power is pretty sweet! Go for the Alpha!

did you keep your '06 H3 or get rid of it for the Alpha? Is your Alpha an H3 or H3T?

I kept the 06, it's what my wife drives. My Alpha is the H3T. Quite enjoy it, The only problem is there is only one dealership to deal with the warranty work, and they are not all that helpful.
