Just wondering if anyone here has had issues wiring a trailer brake controller into your h2? What I really need is a wiring diagram for the junction box underneath the dash. I bought a tekonsha prodigy p2 brake controller and a wiring adapter for it. when plugged in i do not get power to the controller. I checked that the 30 amp fuse in stud #2 and the red wire underneath the fuse box were connected to the fuse box under the hood and they are but no power. fuse is fine. the 40 amp fuse in stud #1 that recharges the trailer battery is not installed but I dont see how that affects the brake controller as they are on different circuits. I used a 12v tester and found power in the junction box under the dash and swaped the wire in the plug to that pin and my trailer brakes worked until I turned my headlights off.

I don't see a way to fix this without a multimeter or someone who is very familiar with the brake controller wiring in this car.

 

I've been there on that same year H2.

Do you have off road lights?
Do they work?

For some reason they designed this model to have OR lights or Trailer brake controller not both unless you do some mods to wiring.
