Hey guys how you all been doing? It's been a while since I posted anything, but I gave been creepin a bit keeping informed. It's time for a tune up o the Alpha, and I have a few questions. From my reading on the forums I have learned to just stick with the AC DELCO iridium plugs.

But is it best to stick with the oem plug wire as well? Has anyone had luck with Taylor cable, msd, summit? And are the heat shields really necessary? I have never had a vehicle that required them, so any input would be helpful. Thanks in advance

 

Wires? Do you have an Alpha? If so, run any plugs that the LS guys recommend to run.
Better plug wires are always a good idea. Larger wire carries more power with less restriction.
Heck, run better MSD coil packs if you want to also.

I5, stick with the OEM plugs. No wires, coil on plug.

 

Yes I have a Alpha. Taylor cable makes a 10.2 millimeter thick set I was looking at, but didn't want to go with a different brand and then not have the factory heat shields fit. Planning on better coil packs down the road as well
