Wiper Fluid Pump Stuck in ON Position

I turned on my 05 H2 yesterday morning after a huge rainstorm and the wiper fluid pumps started spraying at a constant until the reservoir ran out, and then continued to attempt to prime.

I'm thinking it's the wiper motor cover. Maybe a short in the electronics. I know they recalled them on the 03's but it was never a recall on the 05.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
JT

I bet your circuit board got wet and shorted out. It's not very hard to pull the cowl off and check it. Maybe you can blow it dry.

You're talking about the circuit board in the wiper motor cover, correct?

Thanks!

Also - What what horrible dealer we have here. I caleld for the part and he quoted me $148. I said the GM MSRP was 98.85 and he said they mark everything up ABOVE the GM MSRP by a multiple of 150%!!

Keep in mind MSRP includes the suggested profit on the part.

Terrible. The only reason they get away with this is that the average person walking in there doesn't know / never sees the part or price.
