Weird how some people have fine with the Rain Xs and some have troubles. I never have had a problem with my Latitudes, even in the wettest of snow. I do get some ice buildup, but it is to be expected with the windshield how it is.

The back wiper from the factory works fine for me, if and when I use it.

 

Take a look at either the Trico NeoForm beam blade or the Trico Tech Beam Blade. I personally use both on my two vehicles - fantastic. Trico just announced a $15 rebate on a pair of NeoForms or $10 rebate on a pair of Techs. Either way, you get the pair for under $20. Thru May 15 2010.

 

never tried the other brands... I use Rain-x Latitude exclusively and i love their performance, on and off the road. Mudding, rain, snow, sleet, salt, none of it stops me from moving at highway speeds. The only downfall is when your car is started up in the range of 15-20 degrees F and you try to use them you get no results, but then again its stupid to do that so yea... As long as you run the defroster for a bit your good to go. Also i have a nice habit of mixing my windshield washer fluid with BugBGone, rain-x window treatment, and windshield deicer and it's a miracle concoction. You can get all of this at a local walmart, or at least i did.

I agree, the stock blades gave me nothing but trouble from the start, even hard to see in rain. Had dealer look at it a couple times did nothing. I replaced them with Rain X Latitude and they are amazing, in rain snow or sleet they wipe the windsheel perfectly clean. Paid like $7 a piece with free Rain X washer bottle through Amazon about a year ago or so.

 

The Hummer H3 takes a 17" driver side, 16" passenger side and 10 or 11" rear replacement wiper blades. I recommend the Trico NeoForm Beam Blades on the front and the Trico Exact Fit Rear Blade on the back. Right now the NeoForms have a $15 rebate thru 5/10/2010. All are available and in stock online.

 

Thanks for all of the wiper comments and cold/snow related problems. Just took off higher end contoured blade per suggestions and replaced with lowest end blade with "conventional metal backbone" wiper and so far problem solved. Nine degrees and steady snow left windshield a mess.
