Default Wind Noise

We recently purchased a 04 H2 and the wind noise seems to be excessive. Can any one share with me their experience with the wind noise. It is not coming from the sunroor.

Thank you in advance

It could also come from the roof rack mounted lights or from the mirrors.

i've read other posts about it coming from the sides of the windshield. if you remove the outer molding and seal it with silicone, it should reduce, if not minimize, the problem. my sunroof guard makes a lot of noise too, i just turn the stereo up.

here's what i found

"A lot of times the side vertical black windshield edging is what is actually making the noise. You can remove these (open the door and find two side screws) and add weather stripping to keep the plastic from vibrating on the front of the window. "

i had to go back and look at your detail pics, i never noticed the door window shades. they look nice on your truck. how are they with side vision? i almost hit my head on the ceiling the way i have the seat adjusted (without my helmet), and wonder how much they'd block vision. there are enough blind spots on this thing without adding another (takes me 2 minutes to back out of a parking space, back and forth between the camera and side mirrors to make sure i'm not running over little junior wanting to see the tread on my tires)

I like the shades alot. They really dont impare vision all that much. They do make it even more private inside. When my wife drives it and I'm looking in from the driveway I can hardly see her. What makes it real nice is opening the window a couple inches when its raining out or eveb just getting a little air inside with out getting wind blown on the high way.I also like that they are tucked under the weather stripping and not stuck on the outside.

they look far better than the standard "bubble" designs i've seen. are they official hummer or aftermarket parts?

They are official GM product. I had them put on for when I took delivery of the truck. I think they charged me $160 installled. I'm sure anyone could put them on very easily. I figured I have them put them on while they are getting the truck ready for me.
