Will this Wheel/Tire Setup work on Stock suspension?
I have a 2003 Hummer H2 currently with KMC Backseat 22" and I believe it is a 10" or 11" wide on 325/50 Nitto Terra Grappler on stock suspension w/air ride. I believe the offset is 8x170. I have a tuner that I used to adjust the odometer
I am looking at a new set of wheels and tires and want to make sure these will fit with the stock suspension. I am looking at" XD Series Rockstar II in a 22x9.5 with a 12mm offset or Fuel Octane with the following size/offset options 22x10 1 22x10 -12 22x10 1 22x10 13 22x10 1 22x10 -12 22x10 13 22x10 1 22x10 -12 22x10 13 22x10 1 22x10 -12 22x10 13 22x14 -64 22x14 -76 22x14 -76 22x14 -64 22x14 -76 I want to get the Toyo Open Country M/T 35/12.5/22, or possibly 37/13.5/22 if they would fit. I like the wide looking tire look. Ideally I'd like the 22x14 so that the tires don't bulge from the rim. Can you guys please advise which would work best as far as size and offset. I like the Fuel Octane 22x14 but not sure which offset. AGAIN I AM ON STOCK SUSPENSION WITH AIR RIDE Thanks |
The 22x9.5 with the +12mm offset will fit perfectly. The stock offset is +18mm. A 14" wheel is way too wide for a 12.5" wide tire. The 12.5 is a great fit on the 9.5" wheel.
For reference I'm running a 20x8.5 Rockstar with a +10mm offset wrapped with a 35x12.5x20 Open Country AT2 extreme and it's a perfect fit on my truck (I'm a 2008 on stock suspension with air ride). |
