Default Why do people find it necessary

to slam the gd doors on Hummers like they are slamming a barn door shut?

Went on a trip with the wife and in-laws last weekend and every time one of them got something out of the back the whole truck would rock back an forth from closing the tailgate. I try to gently explain that they don't need to do that but I guess force of habit makes them forget. It drives me nuts. Does this happen to everyone else as well?

A sensitive subject with me too.
Sorry to say, but women seem to be the primary culprit here.
I imagine they think that slamming it shut some how makes it close better ??
I held the door for my wife for years, because she could never learn to not slam it closed.
She thought I was being chivalrous.

I don't mean to offend (all) women of the forum

im not so polite.
some people drive cars that don't function properly and need slamming. no maintenance.
they think they all do! face it , dumb people.

I found out that h3 s are pretty air tight so i lower one of windowes to releve the pressure. This way they wont have to slam the dm doors.

I do, I've had to try and explain to the wife not to slam the doors....however they still get slammed like crazy by her.

For some reason women just don't get it...

Yep, it kills my mind.

I get the same rocking action from my h3 when the father in law closes the door

Then for some reason they like kicking the lower plastic floor well side cover and lower door trim. Not even sure how they manage to do it

Actually with our H3, She is the one that yells at people when they slam the doors. I'm a wooooos. I don't know why, but people slam them all the time. The worst one is the rear door. When we have to pick up wood chips or something where they load it for you, they slam that rear door and it rocks the hummer like an explosion. We had to tell them they don't even need to push hardly, it just closes itself basically.

Couldn't agree more.. I get so annoyed when people slam the doors, especially the rear gate. It eventually caused wear marks in my paint due to me installing aftermarket light guards. I began to tell my "frequent flyers" to stop slamming the doors, which helped a little bit.

I don't have that problem because I'm the only one that closes the rear door !!!! Haha...too true though. The side doors have to be slammed , unless a window is down , and the weight of the rear door just needs to be gentle. I have yet to have someone close the side doors only once when the windows are up. I can think of far worse things to worry about though.......like my loose mirrors !

Default air?

the vent in the rear door should take care of air pressure
