So I had a alpine head unit in my 06 H3, I decided to go to a DVD/NAV...Alpine again. I hooked up a TR7 and a peripheral harness so I could keep my onstar. Everything worked great before with the deck and subs. Now with the NAV/DVD I get this slight whine from my speakers. I know all the grounds are good, I went over this thing 3 times, re done the wires three times as well....Any sugestions, anyone have the same issue? Could it be the tr7?

 

your bose/onstar interface is bad. I have ran into this before with a scosche kit. use a PAC kit.

 

Really? Just a new harness? Where do I find these?

 

Its not bose either, its monsoon, is that the same deal?

 

Well the first trouble shoot is did you use the back wire to ground on the metal of the car or did you do the lazy way and and just attached the black wire to the black wire to the harness?

 

Im noy lazy at all! I found out the problem was related to a bad install on an after market alarm/starter. They took it out and problem was solved!
