Wheels
I want to put regular wheels and tires on H1. No one will balance my tires, plus I have a leak on CTSI. What kind of wheels will fit on hubs? I want to.put 24" wheels with 40" tires.

Many wheels are not rated for the H1. Your selection is somewhat limited. I would not advise 24" wheels.

I also would not go with 24" wheels. They make the truck drive horrible!

GT Hummer Products sells a nice wheelset that is factory approved at hummer products dot com. 16.5" , 17" and 18" and they are "normal" wheels that tire shops will work with. Plus they are CTIS compatible.
Another option is the 2500/3500 dodge ram alloy wheels from the mid 00's, they don't have an exact match in back set but it's pretty close, within 1" of the hummer OEM. There are two versions a 5 spoke 8 lug and a 6 spoke 8 lug. Or you can get the 17" factory OEM alloy wheels by hutchinson and just remove the runflat and any tire shop will work on it [that's what I'm using currently. One problem with aftermarket wheels is there is a possibility of hitting/damaging the hood under full suspension compression or the rear fender. |
Discount Tire removed my old tires and runflats and mounted new GY MTRs without runflats. You need to give them inflation tank valves for balancing if you have CTIS
Or you could buy a used wheels set for a fraction(1/4) of the price from this guy(below) and use Uship.com to get them Rallequip.com Used Military Tires and Equipment |
