Wheel off set

I'm thinking about purchasing 20" wheels with nitto 325/60 tires for my H2, what would be the correct/best wheel offset? Also does anyone have an idea what the difference of the overall vehicle hieght that this wheel and tire combo would make?

Thanks, Chad

ok, I called my friend that owns a rim place, he said stock is -18 offset but that most aftermarkets are zero and +10 offset. At least in the 17-18" size, I forgot to ask him about 20's but more positive offset will only make the tires stick out of the wheel wells a little bit and not damage anything. My H3 has -38 stock and I went with +12 rims and they fit fine and look much more aggresive sticking out a little..IMO. heres a pic of how much a change from -38 to +12 looks

Also your stock tires are 315/70/17 I think. They equal 34.4x 12.4
the ones you are interested in are 325/60/20 they equal 35.4x12.8 so you may see a small ride height increase but not much at all.

hope this helps!

How often do you get rubbing, if any? Because of height limitations in my work parking garage, I'm literally at the height limit, so I can't raise the H3 more or I wont get in my parking garage, BUT I would like to get wider tires. Everybody recommends these Mickey Thompson tires. Are they really THAT good?

I have no rubbing at all, have about 1/2" clearance at full lock. I have had about 5 sets of Mickey thompsons over the years and loved all of em, they wear slower than most other mud terrains do. The new MTZ that I have now have got to be the quietest mud tire I have ever heard! My wife even said it sounded like stock, she's actaully dissapointed because she likes the loud humm that my other mud tires make.

That's awsome. HummerMike who is a member of the hummer club I'm involved in here in the midwest I believe has those MTZ tires. I know he has the Mickey Thompsons. He just had them installed about a month ago and told me they were quiet.

What are the specs and what are those wheels on that yellow 3? Also, what size MTZ is that? Thanks if someone can answer.

The diameter of your stock tire is 34.5". the diameter of the nitto is 35.12"
Your stock wheel is a 17x8.5 with a 22mm positive offset.

The best offset is going to be a slight positive, like what you have. if you have a lower, or more negative offset the wheels will stick out further from your wheel well and may potentially rub. also how wide are the 20s that you are installing?
