What will happen to Hummer dealerships?
Anyone know of or have any exclusively Hummer dealerships in your area and know what is going to happen to them once Hummer shuts down here shortly?
Are these exclusive dealers just going to close shop? |
They'll be re-purposed by the owner or sold to someone else...The stand-alone store in Dallas I worked at for years is now a Subaru shop.

The dealer that I go to isn't changing anything. Even the Hummer sign is staying up. They are one of the approved Hummer service centers. They will be selling used Hummers and other used cars out of the old quanset hut.

Is that the one down off lemmon?

The Plano store informed me yesterday that after October they will no longer be able to do warranty service and I'll have to take mine down to Lemmon to the Cadi dealer.... or other GM dealerships... like Chevy?? They will still be able to do paid maintenance though...

Yea I had my experiences with the Plano store from the sales woman telling me the one I wanted at the lemon location was sold when it wasn't (luckily i called them directly after getting off the phone with her) to the parts dept giving me the wrong parts and quoting outrageous prices for simple work. I went to the Lemon service center it was such a nicer experience, the guy I talked to there was able to give me pointers on what I could do myself recommend what I should bring it in for and I didn't feel like he was trying to break it off in me just cause I had a Hummer.
