Want to install AUX jack in 2007 H2 (Navigation/Bose)
Just got a 2007 H2 Lux...
I want to add an AUXillary plug to it. I've done some research but am not finding any positive results if this is done to an OEM radio with navigation. The reason why I say this is I found the AUX adapter (ISGM535) that says it is compatible with Hummer H2 2007 but the documentation states: ========== General Motors ISGM535 Operation Non Navigation <-----is this referring to the radio type??? Selecting AUX Press the “BAND” button until “XM” is displayed on the screen. Immediately turn the rotary knob to scroll through available sources. Once “AUX1” is displayed, press PRESET 6 to select it. Selecting between AUX1 / AUX2 If you are currently in “AUX1” or “AUX2” mode turn the rotary knob to cycle through available sources. Once “AUX1” or “AUX2” is displayed on the screen press PRESET 6 to select it.. =========== *Non Navigation?!?!?!?!?! So it sounds like it is not compatible with a navigation unit for some reason. or am I readying into this too deep? Has anyone added an AUX jack to an H2 with a nav radio? Any direction or advice would be appreciated |
I accomplished my goal.
I needed to get to the XM radio module which I thought was next tot he rear of the radio (hence why I wanted to get the console out). The XM radio module is right behind glove box. I put my adapter in, got AUX (http://schwarttzy.com/shop/h3-quick-...-auxiliary-in/) and bluetooth capabilitiies (
Amazon.com: Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit for Cars with Aux Input Jack (3.5 mm) - supports aptX: Cell Phones & Accessories
) nowWho needs XM radio when you got TuneIn Radio (or pandora or youtube or whatever can stream from your phone)? |
