Viper Remote Start Problem, H2
 

had Viper remote start 5601 alarm install along with smart start module so I can now start my H2 from anywhere using my iphone. the problem I have is that when I start remotely if alarm is armed, somehow the transmission shift progam changes and the tranny does not shift properly and I get the engine light. Took to Goodyear and we confirmed it has something to do with the remote start. I can arm and dis arm just can't remote start. Anyone ever heard of this? Taking it back to installer this afternoon. Will keep you posted if and when it gets resolved.

Figured it out, There is a second ignition wire which Directed Elec. told the installer would be White but the wiring on the truck it was yellow. Everything is working as it should now. I will warn you if you plan on adding remote start to your H2 be prepared for the installer to have your truck about 9 hours. There is alot involved in installing the system I had installed, but I would do it again to protect my investment as well as being able to start my H2 from virtually anywhere with the Viper Smart Start. Also added Pioneer AVIC-X920bt in the truck prior to the alarm install.
