V8 engine swap, 4 banger out 8 cylenders in (Colorado) Same platform as you guys
 

I hope I don't get nailed to the wall for posting my colorado on hear, it is the same plat form, so it would be of some little interest to some one hear, wishing to swap a V8 into there H3 hummer. I am a noob hear, so bare with me if I am stepping on anyone's toes!

BTW Love to see a H3 V8, swap, and yes I know the H3 alpha comes that way from the factory, If anyone knows of any swaps I would love to see links to them! I live breathe... any thing bassed of the 355 platform..Hummer H3 Isuzu I-380..Chevy Colorado..GMC Canyon!!

Well after years of thinking..months of planning and thousands of dolars later, I am ready to go for the real deal! Today I started pulling out the old 2.8L 4 banger to make room for the 07 LS1 converted to LS2 4.8L V8. I still need to get lots of things but basiclly here is the list of what I have;

- 07 GMC savana 4.8L engine 13,292 kms
- Cp perf. engine mounts
- luk LS1 clutch Zo6 preasure plate, ARP bolts
- LS2 knock sensors
- 2006 SSR computer & gas pedal
- HP tunners
- E40 computer plugs
- bracket to mount trailblazer pedal
- advanced adapters bell-housing to mate jeep AX15/Colorado MA5 tranny to V8

Update Jan. 2nd 2010

And it runs!! Boy did I get a lot done in one long day! a lot still needs to be done, and some stuff was really "thrown"together... but it is a ""start"" anyway no pun intended!

Today I installed the LS6 valley cover, injectors intake manifold throttle body, finished up the wiring harness connections, made up the fuel lines, heat wrapped the wires and clutch line, installed the van dip stick, changed the filter put 5 quarts of oil in, battery cables (temporary)

Some issues electronically the gas gauge reads reverse.. no surprise, and for some unknown reason it says change oil???

acident some SOB backed into me a day before I took the truck off the road for the winter and I just had it all smoothed out and patined.. oh well ..might as well remove it for better access!..

I wound up using this tool I made prevously on my dads 97 chevy when I changed is water pump. I also used a large plumbers wrench and a 4-5 foot bar and grunting and more cus words and she broke free! Aslo cut my finger on the damn plastic fan blade #%&*!
