Urgent Help Needed! Advice on Tyres, before I hand Cash over
The H3 I have just brought has 24in Rims with Nankang 295/35/24 Tyres on it, these have a Load Index of only 110!!!!!
Now I understand that I should have tyres rated to 114 Load Index as per factory specs! Now is it safe to drive on the Nankangs with only a load Index of 110? I dont tow or cart heavy stuff around, between 110 and 114 Index is 120kg difference. Thanks very much again, as if it is unsafe, I wont take delivery on the weekend and look for another, because new tyres will cost me over $2400AUD to replace. Thanks again..The stupid Aussie..... |
I wouldnt risk it... especially something with that small amount of rubber between the road and the rim... your asking for trouble... I cant imagine it looks good either, but to each their own... Im not even a fan of nankang, they are a cheapo tire to begin with... something better would sit better with me, but again that's just my opinion...
Good luck either way |
I wouldn't be caught dead driving anything with jap rubber? :D

Yeah I am with Dag, and Doc. I read your other thread about buying this truck and I stopped myself from saying anything because I am trying to be more liberal about other peoples tastes...however, after reading this I will say that this truck now has 3 major strikes against it
1=lowered 2=24" rims 3=**** tires |
Thanks Guys
Thanks guys for your responses, I have pulled out from the deal, you are all right on all those points.
I did however have a back up plan, there is a Stock 07 H3 Luxury for sale, for a couple of grand more, so will go with that instead since it has no mods. Cheers for your help again, I will post pics once I get it next week. AussieHummer |
I think you made a wise decision Aussie!
