Question U steps pakage for H2

Hello every body ..

Removable assist U steps bare becoming realy rare on ebay these days ..

Did any one have tried the OEM online parts & accessories websites ? Are they safe to buy from ?

e.g.

GM Parts Department: Buy genuine GM auto parts & aftermarket accessories at wholesale prices. - GM Parts Department: Buy genuine GM auto parts & aftermarket accessories at wholesale prices.

STEP PKG. Running Board. Side Step. RUNNING BOARD (BVE); STEP PKG/REMOVABLE OFF-ROAD ASSIST ( ). Hummer H2 (2003 - 2009) # 89006930 - STEP PKG. Running Board. Side Step. RUNNING BOARD (BVE); STEP PKG/REMOVABLE OFF-ROAD ASSIST ( ). Hummer H2 (2003 - 2009) # 89006930

I would be really surprised if any of those sights had the U-steps actually available. When I was looking for my set I called a couple of those placed and every dealership in my area and no one could get a hold of them. My general rule has always been $100/step not including shipping as those SOB's are heavy!

I have a total of 6, 2 were PC'ed red and the set of 4 black the PC was beat to hell. I had the best 4 of them chemically stripped and PC'ed semigloss black. I think between the stripping and PC I paid maybe $150 plus the cost of the steps to have a brand new looking set.

Moral is don't pass up beat up steps, as long as they are straight and haven't landed on any rocks or anything like that.

Also DO NOT use the quick release *****. I've heard of too many people having their U's stolen. I put some huge grade 8 bolts on mine, cleaned all the threads and slathered them with Red Loctite. I've even seen some people drill a small hole through a bolt and put a padlock on each step.

I agree with LJ (as usual)

Given, I would be lucky to find 1 U-step and they want like 250-400 for it. Just one... not even a set.

As for the link you provided, this just looks like the standard nerfbar/sliders that are pretty much on every H2. (ie. exactly what I have on mine and what I am trying to replace with the U-steps)

the photos of the product are both nerf bars and U steps .. kind of confusing .. but the OEM manufactur number is related to U steps 4 package !

Where exactly is the U-step in that picture?
From what I heard, they arent made any more. Which is why those who have a set can demand 1200.
What I see in all 4 pictures is the exact same slider/nerf bar step that most H2s have.
As for the different PNs for each of the steps, I am sure that it is for different finishes and such (ie. chrome, black paint....)

sorry for that mistake ,

For the prices: if the price listed at 438$ this means the pakage include 4 steps - and if price listed at 220$ this means the pakage include only 2 steps. (this is the original price listed from GM hummer accessories)

GMparts department website send me a massage this morning that they are unfortunately out of stock !

also I sent an E-mail massage to NALLEY parts to check the availability but they wont reply .. you can call them if you are in US ( 866-348-3569 ) parts@nalleyauto.com

part #89006930
