Is it true Hummers are the #1 vehicles to be ticketed by the police?
I saw on the news that Hummers are the #1 vehicles to be ticketed by the police.
I was kind of surprised by that.
What is everyone's experience on this? Have you gotten pulled over more since owning a Hummer?
I just bought a 08 H2 & I love it...other than getting adjusted to parking the
H2 within the parking spaces.

Congrats on the new H2!
Funny you should ask...Yesterday a police pulled up behind me lights flashing, siren whaling so, I started to pull over and he went around and busted a Blazer in front of me! Shocked I was. I was slightly speeding (6 mph +/-) but he must have clocked the guy in front.
Parking? I just find a comfortable spot far away.
Welcome!

As the fuzz part time. I never aim to ticket Hummers. I would think the only reason they are targeted was because of their size and draws attention. While entering a onramp one night, I noticed a massive truck screaming in the #1 fast lane. Paced him for a bit and cited him for 90 mph. He said "why didnt you pull over the other guy" I said " What other guy" lol I only noticed him. Somethin to think about
Just wanted to chime in on this again, obviously the "news" isn't what it used to be. Seems only a liberal treehugger who either bikes to work, or rides in a Prius carpool would write a story like this. Just another Hummer hater.
Even the "fuzz"(haven't heard or used that term in years!) has chimed in. Fact is, if you're breaking the law, you're at risk of getting ticketed, no matter what you drive! I got pulled over in my company car about 2 weeks ago, it's an HHR. Wasn't paying attention to the speed at the time, plus never thought it'd go over 70! LOL He let me go with a warning...probably because he didn't think so either! LOL Glad he let me go though.

I had a fair share of tickets!
07 - Speeding 11 above in a 45; speeding 7 in a 25 above but was let go and cited for front license plate
08- going under 55 in a 65 limit but got off with a warning; multiple parking violation; tinted windows even though there was a BMW 760 with 5% all around, i had light tint on my fronts
09 - pulled over on 101 near SLO for tinted windows, smoked tail lights, and front plate missing (inside my car...);
Driving to the hummer dealership in Dublin, I saw a white hummer zooming by me doing about 80+ and a Mercedes CLS 63 speeding as well, pulled over, but that was their own fault i guess.

Nope, its already proven that research company rigged the results. They listed Hummer as a brand which included the H2 & H3. All the other cars in the report were listed individually and not grouped. Had they not grouped the hummer models together, they would't even of been on the top 10 list.
