Transmission upgrades?

What are the transmission upgrade options for a 2008 H3 Alpha?

I built my corvette myself to 959rwhp and want to mod my truck with a forged 6.2 liter and my custom turbo kit but first I need to fix driveline weaknesses.

Any other driveline weaknesses I need to address?

So its not a good platform to build on? Its all garbage? Are the diffs weak? 1/2 shafts? Are there upgrades?

you can put a corvette servo in it shifting points are way better then stock
takes @ 20min to install.

It becomes a power issue. Just like anything else to much power will cause things to break, and a 6.2l is likely to start breaking things if you are not very careful. It definately will not handle 900+ horsepower

For a 3333# car, but not so good for a 5000# brick.

It is an awesome off road platform, not so much for gobs of unusable street power. In case you missed it, the H3 is a truck designed for off road use at low speed (like rock crawling etc.) compromised for finer interior amenities and ride comfort.

You want to build a cha cha street queen, have at it.

For Trans innards, consider a Monster Sunshell, or for that matter, just swap out the OEM for a Monster Trans.

For shift points.... a PCM & TCM tune is all you need.

Like anything else, your only limit is the depth of your wallet/pockets..

What are the differences from stock that a monster trans has? Has anyone used one for the H3 with 500+HP?

I have HP tuners.

Has anyone used PATC?

I realize that. I was a supporting tuner on the corvette forum and built quite a few high HP cars on the LS platform. What I guess I was trying to find out is what upgrades were factually used and proven in our trucks. I'd like to know what transmission can handle 500tq and if any handle 700tq. I didnt work much with auto trans cars and I dont want to do a manual trans swap on this truck. I'm lazy and dont want to shift. My preference is a rebuild on the stock trans but if it needs a 4L80 and there is a conversion kit, I'm in the market for that. I'd rather buy a better trans than pay 1000's to build my trans if its a crap shoot. The total parts budget is 15K.

I built my corvette to 959hp at the wheels at a cost of 30K for parts. I did it all myself but I need to know what parts need replacing and what after market parts worked. Swapping an LS3 in for the 5.3 is the cheap easy part. Not breaking things with 500hp is the hard part.
