Transfer Case Shift Problems
 

This question may have been answered, but the search function did not return any results. My problem is, The transfer case will not go from 4WL to 4WH. Let me explain, when I push the button, it does shift. Then it shifts back to 4WL. To get to 4WH I need to put the transmission in Drive "AFTER" It shifts and before it goes back to 4WL. Then I get an error but I can at least travel at normal speeds. I replaced the encoder and shift motor but no success. I am left with the Transfer Case Shift Module. However, I do not know where it is located. If anyone on this forum has any ideas, I am all ears.

I believe it is under the dash above the brake pedal.
