Default Transfer case problems

Just got my Hummer home, drove over 500 miles one way and it ran like a champ. No problems... Until I was about two miles from home. The transfer case basically went out I think. The motor just free wheeled like it was in neutral 4h and 4 lock did nothing. Only 4 Low would get me moving again. Any Idea's? And I wasn't beating on it on the way home either, just 65 mph cruizin down the highway

Check to see if your transfer case mode fork (OEM Plastic) has failed. My H3 was towed in yesterday for a in-warranty fork replacement. My symptons were similiar to yours.

I would assume that since he posted in the H1 section that he has an H1 and the H3 TSBs won't be of much use to him.

Did you ever get an answer to your question? I have the same problem.
