Hello, I have a 2006 h2 hummer, it is currently stock with a 4l65e.
My boss is nuts and wants to put a 8l80e trans into it. I suggested the 6l80e, but he wants 8 gears. So my question is can you bolt it in, and is there any way to control it. It has the stock 6.0l and everything so I think it would need a stand alone trans controller. I know it may be a waste of money but he wants to do it. So any input is appreciated, thanks for reading.

 

Your boss is willing to upgrade your H2... for free?
See if he would at least drop a better engine than the 6.0L or do a rebuild to make that worth while.

Is the 8L80e even compatible with an LQ4?
