Hi All

I was launching a JetSki and after the H3 got its wheel stuck on some rope under the tire and broke it I get the message Traction Failed Service 4x4 error message on tne console?
I have tested all 4 wheel drive options and all seems to be working fine exept there is no traction controll as the computer seems to have disabled it.

Is it possible that the computer system has just got it self confused and that there is no serious damage done??

All opinions would be much appreciated

Traction Control essentially works off of the anti-lock braking system. Each wheel has a sensor for the system, and a wire runs from the sensor to the anti-lock braking module in conjucntion with the PCM.
If your rope wound around and snagged the sensor wire ....or some part associated with those goodies..... the error message is because that sensor is wacked and it cannot operate on only 3 wheels. Trip to the dealer I think??

 

For a while back a lot of the 06 models would get this issue..turns out there is a problem in the Transfercase Modulating motor..simple warranty fix.
