Tore apart dash and need help!!!

I have a base model h3, and i just took out my head unit to look at the plug because I'm about to install a new one once i get the correct adapter. I plugged everything back in and went to test it everything works except for the radio it comes up on the screen saying "phone" and won't play anything. I checked the plugs and they are all tight, any ideas?

i may be way off, but unplugging the radio may have turned it 'off' for theft protection. i wonder if you have to take it to the dealer to have it reprogrammed?

Do you just have the normal cd player (non-navigation)? I wonder if it has a security code you need to put in?
Maybe look through your owners manual to see if there is a code in there.

Hey guys thanks for the help but i just got it figured out. There is a plug that goes into the AC cluster that is the same as the one in the back of the head unit it just has fewer wires going into the plug. The cluster works fine if the plugs are swithed but the head unit will not. As soon as my phone decides to start working i will post a picture of what i did and hopefully nobody else will make this mistake

more than likely need a Metra GMOS-01 to integrate a new radio.

But the HVAC cluster does not need to be removed when accessing the rear of the radio?;)

That is prob why we have never heard of anyone ever having this issue.;)

maybe it doesn't but it made it easier for me to pull my head unit out

drtom 02-07-2012 01:18 PM

if u pull the gear shift all the way back,u get plenty of room
