what are the two spots to the left of the 2 cigarette lighter plug ins for? I took the center out and saw mine just has 2 snap out plugs for them Like they are there for a switch or something to plug into? do they make switches to fit these becuase I just ordered a nice set of fog lights to go on my bull bar and if I could put a factory looking switch in there for them that would be sweet. any help greatly appreciated!

The one on the rt. side is for Accesorie lamps if equipped, and the left is for the traction control (Stabil-track) something not offered on early models with the manual trans.

The one on the left is for the optional grill mounted lights, the one on the right is for the optional roof mounted lights.

switch #

the switch part #'s are 88963885 and 88963884 . one has an arrow pointing up (roof lights) one has an arrow pointing down (grill lights) you have to order one of each.they are made for left and right hole. the switches cost me $27 each at the Hummer dealership. You will also need a pigtail to connect to the switch. The dealer wanted $35 each. I found them online for $16. Google GM Part# 12101864

I don't mean to hijack a thread, but I had a question about the stabil-trac. I have a 07 lux and when I push the button for stabil-trac, which is on the same row of buttons as my 4WD controls, nothing happens. There aren't any lights that come on, nor any indication that anything whatsoever is happening. I've tried it in 4hi lock and 4hi unlock. Does that mean I just plain don't have stabil-trac?

You must hold the stabil trac button in for a good five seconds, just pushing it doesn't work.

Are you holding the button down for a few seconds? I pressed my "traction" button and it didn't do anything until I learned to depress the button for a few seconds and then a ding comes on with a light on the dash.

Do those toggle switches come with the lights usually? I am thinking of getting both uppers and lower lights soon.

I have not done this. I have pushed it like 20 times in a row out of sheer frustration without any visible results, but I don't think that counts. lol
