Tint headlights?

I have seen the tint film but don't really like it. I know people tint there taillights and headlights and everything else possible. Have seen it done on other vehicles but not an h3's headlights. Any pics or ideas? I wish someone made the covers. I have 55w 6000k hids so I'm not to worried about brightness. My idea is to black out all the lights(headlights taillights fog lights side markers fender lights and roof marker lights) and put a body painted black grill with the grillcraft stainless mesh grill inserts and then one day an arb bumper(off topic)

Yeah I know how, thanks for the link though. Just wondering if there are any specific concerns with our trucks or a reason why no one has done it to this vehicle. May not do any of it if I don't really find out, not much on blacking out one set of lights it's all or nothing.

Nightshades is the best option. It works great. You can make it as light or as dark as you prefer. I tinted my taillights on both of my motorcycles and my former trailblazer with no problems at all. I'm not big on the idea of tinting headlights, but then again I dont have HIDs so mine wouldnt be as bright.

Good luck with your research. Hope you find the answer you are looking for.

Most would use tinted covers since it is illeagle to drive at night with tinted headlights.

Yeah, but no one makes a cover. Just tint film.

Great idea, so you cannot see at night. Not long ago I almost ran into a little riceburner (the 37's would have run him over) because it was cool to black out your tail lights so much that I did not see his brake lights come on.

I'd check with your state's DMV or state police to see if tinting the headlights is even legal. Sounds crazy to me.....

Do you like getting harrassed by the cops?

My buddy did this on his 08 GMC Sierra and has been pulled over twice for it. Do you want the hassle or a possible DUI if you've had a couple drinks and are on your way home?

If it's a must have just cut the shape you want out of tinted plexiglass and use velcro in the corners. In 1977 I had this on my '77 Z28 and it works great. Just don't be a fool and drive at night without taking them off.
