tail light wiring question
All:
I searched the forum and failed to find this answer. If it has already been discussed, please point me to the thread. I recently purchased a backup sensor system which I am installing on my 2005 H2 SUT. One of the steps is to tap into the reverse light wiring to supply power to the reverse sensors. Could someone please tell me how to access this wiring on the SUT, and if I need to remove tail lights to do so? It would also be helpful if anyone could specify the wire color for the 12 volt reverse light. Additionally, has anyone found a convenient pass-through for running a wire from the bed of the SUT to the interior? Thanks in advance. --Kevin PS: I have been taking pictures and plan to post a thread on my install. |

you can tap into the reverse light circuit at connecter #6 in this picture. it's under the hood so its easy to get into the interior. it's a 12 pin connector, you want terminal B, it's a light green wire. |
