My OEM struts werent doing anything anymore (assisting or holding open) so I ordered new ones from SUSPA who is the OEM supplier. They had to make them custom as they are not stocked. $100 each. I installed them and they do not seem to assist at all and certainly cant hold it open. The hatch is very heavy and flexes greatly if you try to push it up from one side. Water has leaked into the panel, but I drilled some small drain holes....I dont think the water is adding enough weight to make a difference.

Anyone else have this problem? I cant imagine why the new factory struts cant seem to do the job now......very frustrated!

I love this thing though.
